Grand Kremlin Palace Hosts Regal Ball for Young Cadets
The Grand Kremlin Palace staged a cadet ball on Thursday to mark the 75th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II.
Some 80 young cadets from the Federal Guard Service's academies attended the event. Young ladies in ball dresses and young gentlemen in dress coats performed waltzes and polonaises in the palace's regal interiors.

For one evening, the St. Andrew's Hall in the Grand Kremlin Palace was transformed into a ballroom.

“The ball is a ceremony as festive as any military parade or diplomatic reception,” the Federal Guard Service's state secretary and deputy director told the state-run TASS news agency.
